(Mme. LaPlante would be ashamed of how long it took me to sort out that title. My French knowledge has atrophied to a tryly pitiful extent over the last 18 years.)

After a late start on Sunday (I think we left the house at about 1pm), we crossed through the customs checkpoint on I-91 without incident, and arrived at the hotel at 7:45pm or so. I think I even mostly managed to give Anne passable directions to our hotel, which came as something of a surprise to both of us. Checkin was uneventful, and upon arriving we decided to kick off the honeymoon in a truly romantic fashion...

...by ordering delivery pizza and watching the Red Sox game. Yes, really. And, yes, Anne was entirely on board with this plan. No one ever claimed that we were a normal couple. :)

After that was done with, we conked out, and we both got a night's sleep with absolutely no alarm for the first time since... the night of October 6, I think. It may not have been the most exciting start to a honeymoon, but I think uninterrupted, unstressed sleep was the best gift we could give ourselves.

Today, so far, has been a day of intentionally aimless wandering. First up was breakfast at Chez Cora's (we're kind of hooked on them, be it in Montréal, Toronto, or Fredericton), then meandered around the general vicinity of the Place des Arts, and eventually wound up in Old Montreal and perused the shops and galleries in Marché Bonsecours. Anne took quite a few pictures that will probably turn out well, and I took a handful that probably won't. Par for the course, really. :)

The most surreal moment of the day, to this point, was being serenaded by a passing vehicle blasting "Cum On Feel The Noize" at extreme volume... then looking at each other with matching expressions of "that really just happened, didn't it?" on our faces. I guess Quiet Riot is traditional Quebeçois music. Who knew?

We made our way back to the hotel, where Anne took a short nap, and now we're about to see if we can settle on somewhere to go for dinner.

Us.

Making a decision.

About dinner.

...yeah. Pray for us, will ya? ;)
